西陣のあたらしい職住一体群

「つれづれnishijin」

京都市上京区、北野商店街近くの7軒の木造賃貸をリノベーション。この街に昔からあった職住一体の暮らしを体現し、工房兼住居を中心に工房や店舗を組み合わせ、つくり手の暮らし、近所の人にとっても、「ちょっとテンションの上がる日常」をつくれたらと思います。

Seven wooden rental houses near the Kitano Shopping Street in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, have been renovated to reimagine a traditional live-work way of life long rooted in this neighborhood.

Centered around live-work homes that combine residence and workshop, the project brings together studios and shops to support the daily lives of makers. Our aim is to create a place that adds a small spark of excitement to everyday life—for both the creators who live and work here and the people of the surrounding community.

コンセプト

A～Gのテナントエリアではクリエイティブな職種のテナントさんにご入居頂き、街との共生を図りながらも自由に活動して頂くテナントとなっています。またイベントスペースとしてつれづれnishijinの蔵では、つれづれnishijinのテナントさんやオーナーがお薦めしたいクリエイティブな方々の創作活動を表現する場として、また地域の方々とも繋がる場所として運営しています。今後は庭の準備を進め、季節に合わせてイベントを開催し、季節を楽しんだり、遊んだり、のんびりしたり。。。人と人との交流がゆるりとできる空間にする予定です。

The tenant areas from A to G are home to creatives from a wide range of fields, offering spaces where they can work freely while coexisting with the surrounding neighborhood.

The storehouse at Tsurezure Nishijin functions as an event space, providing a place for tenants and other creatives recommended by the owner to present their work, while also serving as a point of connection with the local community.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue developing the garden and host seasonal events—places to enjoy the changing seasons, play, relax, and spend time at an easy pace. Our goal is to create a gentle, open space where people can naturally connect with one another.
